We would like to remind you that Holy Communion is reserved for
those who have been baptized or confirmed and married in the
Orthodox Church, and who have prepared themselves to receive
the Eucharist. All visitors are welcome to receive the blessed
bread at the end of the Divine Liturgy.

Schedule of Events for January 2023

 

Sunday, January 1 – Orthros 9:30 am, Divine Liturgy 10:30 am. Ushers: Kosta Menegakis, Melina Bundy (Davis), and Kosta Pappas.

*Coffee hour is OPEN. HAPPY NEW YEAR! KALH XRONIA!

Thursday, January 5 - Greek School class for the younger children will be online, 5:00 – 6:30 pm.

Sunday, January 8 - Service of the Theophany (Epiphany). Services will begin one hour early. Orthros 8:30 am, Divine Liturgy 9:30 am. The service of the Great Blessing of the Water at the end of the Divine Liturgy. Ushers: Randy Knight, Esther Asprogiannis, and Phillip Nixon.

*Blessings of the homes will begin promptly after the service for those who are current and have met their 2022 stewardship. All other homes may be blessed at another time by calling Fr. Anton to make arrangements. A list of the home blessings will be available in the narthex by the candles. IF YOU WILL NOT BE HOME ON THIS DAY, PLEASE LET FR. ANTON OR ONE OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEMBERS KNOW.

Thursday, January 12 - Greek School class for the older children, 5:00 – 6:30 pm.

Sunday, January 15 - Orthros 9:30 am, Divine Liturgy 10:30 am. Ushers: Sam Galiatsatos, Anna McGaha, and Hristo Bakoulas.

*One year Memorial service for Stefan Toma. Coffee hour will be offered by his loving family.

**Parish Council meeting with old and new members.

Monday, January 16 - Greek School class for the younger children, 5:00 – 6:30 pm.

Thursday, January 19 - Greek School class for the older children, 5:00 – 6:30 pm.

Sunday, January 22 - Orthros 9:30 am, Divine Liturgy 10:30 am. Ushers: Kosta Menegakis, Melina Bundy (Davis), and Kosta Pappas.

*Vasilopita Luncheon and General Assembly meeting. See the agenda.

**The Ladies of Philoptochos takes a collection every year during the Vasilopita Luncheon to benefit St. Basil’s Orphanage. We are asking you to please not forget these children and donate generously. The Philoptochos thanks you for your support.
