We extend a warm welcome to visitors worshiping with us today.
We would like to remind you that Holy Communion is reserved for
those who have been baptized or confirmed and married in the
Orthodox Church, and who have prepared themselves to receive
the Eucharist. All visitors are welcome to receive the blessed
bread at the end of the Divine Liturgy.

Schedule of Events for January 2021

  • Sunday, January 3 – Orthros 9:30 am, Divine Liturgy 10:30 am
  • Sunday, January 10 - Service of the Theophany (Epiphany). Orthros 9:30 am, Divine Liturgy 10:30 am. The service of the Great Blessing of the Water at the end of the Divine Liturgy.
*This year, because of the pandemic, I will not go bless all the homes like the years before. Instead, if someone desires, I will make an appointment and visit to bless their home. I strongly encourage people to take blessed holy water and sprinkle their homes. Going from house to house will expose multiple persons to the risks of Covid. I hope everyone in the community understands.
  • Monday, January 11 - Online Bible Study from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Call, text or email Fr. Anton to register.
  • Sunday, January 17 - Orthros 9:30 am, Divine Liturgy 10:30 am. Parish Assembly to follow from 12:00pm both in Fr. Dennis Canavos Hall and on Zoom.
*The Ladies of Philoptochos takes a collection every year during the Vasilopita Luncheon to benefit St. Basil’s Orphanage. This year, because of COVID restrictions, we are asking you to please not forget these children and donate generously at the end of the service or send your donations to the church. The Philoptochos thanks you for your support. Vasilopita will be distributed in cups like antidoron.
**Two volunteers are needed to bake Vasilopita. Please call Zoe Nixon at 336-841-6911.

Through this web site, we are pleased to be able to introduce you to that same worship and fellowship as it is expressed in the life of our Parish. If you are a new member of our parish, or are considering membership, these web pages will acquaint you with what our parish offers to those who give it support and sustenance; to those who already belong to the church, we hope they will provide you with the assurance that your sacrificial offerings are received with profound respect, and are utilized to maximum effectiveness. They will, in any case, enable you to make the informed decisions that are necessary for a meaningful relationship with your church!
